Our history

The UTS:QSI has grown from the Quantum Computation Laboratory in the Centre for Quantum Computation and Intelligent Systems which began in 2008. Since then, researchers from UTS:QSI have played a major role in growing the research agenda of UTS, including the recruitment of 6 Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellows and forming research centres with Tsinghua University, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology. The UTS:QSI now has 12 academic staff who work with a worldwide network of scientific and industrial collaborators.
