CAS launched a spinout company called Sabre Autonomous Solutions in 2013. Sabre was formed to commercialise the autonomous grit-blasting technology developed within the centre. The start-up company raised equity investment from an industry leader in abrasive blasting technology, and an Early Stage Commercialisation Grant from AusIndustry.
