Fang Bai received his B.Eng. degree in computer science from Nankai University China, and M.Sc. degree in system analysis and integration from Northeastern Univeristy China, in 2010 and 2015 respectively. Currently he is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Autonomous Systems (CAS), University of Technology Sydney. His research interests include SLAM, state estimation, probabilistic inference, and machine learning.
Supervisor : Dr Teresa Vidal Calleja
His current research focus is on robust approaches for simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), specifically working on new ideas and methods to deal with outliers and local minima in pose-graph optimization.
