Research collaboration visits in Brisbane
On 1 and 2 April 2019, the Centre for Artificial Intelligence sent a delegation to visit Griffith University and Queensland University of Technology.
On Monday Dist Prof Jie Lu, Prof Yi Yang and Prof Ivor Tsang visited Griffith University’s ARC Research Hub Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems, and on Tuesday they went to QUT’s AI-Based Data Analytics Group, based in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
The CAI delegation presented talks on concept drift detection, understanding and adaptation; multi-output learning and weakly supervised video and image analysis to a large audience at both universities. At Griffith there were over 50 participants located in 2 campuses – live at Nathan campus in Brisbane, and via video streaming to the Gold Coast campus.
Good discussions on research collaboration were also held at both venues, and CAI looks forward to strengthening our relationship with the Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems and the AI-Based Data Analytics Group.
