History Central is the meeting place for history researchers working across the greater Sydney region. It takes the form of several centralised history seminars held at the Australian Centre for Public History at UTS. Collaboratively organised by researchers from a diverse array of institutions, they are open to all who wish to attend.
Proposals for new seminar series are welcomed. For more information get in touch with firstname.lastname@example.org.
In Semester 1 of 2018 five monthly seminars will operate:
- HistoryNow (Australian Studies Research Network)
- Sydney Feminist History Group
- Historiography Reading Seminar
- Work: Past and Present (new in 2018)
- UTS History Network
Contact the organisers (listed at the links above) for specific details.
Seminars are usually held in UTS Bldg 10 (the FASS building in Thomas St) which is opposite Central Park on Broadway near Sydney's Central Station). Check the screen and signs in the lift lobby for directions or instructions.
