Completion and Employability
At UTS we work hard to ensure our graduates are well-rounded professionals who are ready for their chosen future when they leave university.
We aim to support students from low SES and/or Indigenous backgrounds in developing and showcasing the key employability skills and graduate attributes required in the workforce, and in keeping them connected to the university.
We do this through providing career and employment support, facilitating opportunities for students to connect with industry, and providing financial support to assist students who are experiencing disadvantage.
- Equity Grants are available for students who participate in UTS Careers’ work-ready programs and are experiencing financial difficulty. The grant supports about-to-graduate students in being better equipped to meet potential employers by assisting with the costs of interview attire and interview preparations.
- Hosted by UTS Careers, Accomplish Intensive is a program designed specifically for recent UTS graduates. The free program increases students’ employment prospects by refining their key skills and developing their confidence in applying for jobs.
- Alumni Career Coaching, dropin employment support, and access to online resources and job boards are all available to graduates post course completion.
- UTS Alumni can access a range of benefits included continued use of the UTS medical services, special events and professional networking opportunities, free UTS Library membership registration, and discounted degree programs.
