UTS is committed to releasing the full capabilities of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and staff.
The UTS Wingara Strategy is a key factor in realising this commitment. We aim to:
- increase the number of Indigenous professional staff across the university
- build a diverse cohort of Indigenous academic and research leaders
- grow Indigenous intellectual and professional leaders
- promote career development and progression opportunities for Indigenous staff
For information about UTS's Indigenous education and support programs, visit Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning.
The Equity & Diversity Unit in the Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion runs a Multicultural & Indigenous Women's Network for women staff to enable multicultural and Indigenous women to realise their full potential and experience equity and justice at UTS.
The Wingara Strategy realises the sentiments and commitments contained within the UTS reconciliation statement and is embedded in the UTS Strategic Plan and the UTS Indigenous Education and Employment Policy.
