UTS has established strategic partnerships with universities and academic communities around the world to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and resources. UTS’s goal to be a leader in the “internationalisation of the student experience" is a key component of realising our vision to become a world-leading university of technology. International student mobility and cultural engagement are also centrepieces of the UTS model.
UTS is leading the way in providing opportunities for students to engage in overseas studies as part of their degree programs.
The Dr Chau Chak Wing Scholarship program offers Australian and Chinese students unique educational, professional and personal opportunities with the objective of building relationships between Australia and China. The scholarships are aimed at Australian students enrolled at UTS undertaking short-term or study abroad programs in China, and at Chinese students enrolling to study abroad or in full award coursework programs at UTS.
UTS also offers the highly successful International Studies program, which gives students the opportunity to combine their degree with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. All international studies students spend at least one session studying at partner institutions in countries where English is not the predominant language. The program gives students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the language and culture of another country while learning at partner institutions.
As part of UTS’s Global Exchange program, students can study for 1 – 2 teaching sessions at overseas partner universities and receive credit towards their degree for that study. UTS has over 252 student exchange agreements with universities in 43 countries, providing students with a plethora of options to experience different cultures and develop global skills.
