The Building 6 podium extension is the future of teaching and learning at UTS.
Polished concrete floors, bold colours and exposed finishes give level 3-7 a modern look and feel, but the real magic is in the integrated technology and flexible space.
On levels 5 and 7 there are specialist teaching facilities dedicated to the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Built Environment. Levels 3, 4, and 6 house a range of informal learning and general teaching spaces.
The refurbishment and extension of the CB06 podium was completed after the Yura Mudang student housing.
The collaborative theatres have powered benches and wifi. The spaces allow various set ups for flexibility in teaching.
The reconfigurable classrooms feature interactive whiteboards, mobile writable surfaces and flexible furniture.
A large collaborative space can accommodate over 80 students. There are 12 pods with interactive whiteboards for activities, project work and exhibitions
