During 2015, UTS's Faculty of Health and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was consolidated on the City campus, allowing UTS to unite in Ultimo.
To accommodate students and staff relocating from the Kuring-gai campus in late 2015, levels 2–8 in Building 10 underwent full or partial refurbishment to create a range of new, purpose-built learning, research and office spaces.
Building 10 has been 'home base' for both faculties since 2011 when the first stage of refurbishment was completed.
Collaborative student spaces
The new spaces created in Building 10 emphasise the importance of collaboration in fields such as health, education, communications and the arts. Students have access to a range of collaborative spaces including purpose-designed lounges on level 4.
Learning and research spaces
The refurbishment of Building 10 includes a diverse array of specialist learning spaces, such as music, dance and drama studios, arts and ceramic studios, a secondary science chemistry lab, journalism workroom, digital research lab, clinical health labs and an Indigenous research space.
New and refurbished workspaces for Faculty of Health staff have been fitted-out on levels 3, 6, 7 and 8, with Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences staff workstations and offices on levels 4 and 5.
