UTS Central on the rise
It's hard to believe that the demolition of the old UTS Building 2 began just two years ago. Our new UTS Central building has now reached its full height, at 17 levels. Its unique glass façade is almost complete, with the final pieces of glass expected to be put in place in February. Internal spaces are coming to life with the installation of staircases, joinery and finishings.
View the video below to see how far construction has come. The project is on track for construction completion in mid-2019.

Drone shots reveal the 17 levels of UTS Central’s unique glass façade against the UTS Tower Building, before revealing the inside of the building which is still under construction.
UTS Central will be a vibrant student hub and faculty space in the heart of our Broadway precinct, adding to the diverse array of learning, teaching and research facilities at UTS. Once construction is complete, there will be a staged opening of the key facilities, starting with the level 3 food court. The building will also be home to the new UTS Reading Room, our Library, the Faculty of Law, another Super Lab, research space for the Faculty of Engineering and IT, student spaces, outdoor terraces and much more.
