Open Week Guide
Open Week is looking a little different this year. From the comfort of your couch, you can attend info sessions, binge watch our course videos, chat to current students and (virtually) explore your future campus. Here’s our guide to Open Week…
1. Check out what’s on offer
There are over 200 events happening over six days, so there is a lot to choose from. Whether you have some idea of what you want to study at uni, or you’re still making up your mind, you can get all your questions answered. Make sure you register to receive updates and information about the week ahead.
2. Plan it out
Plan out your week with our virtual planner. From Q&A and info sessions to live chats and virtual tours, there’s something for everyone. And if you’re busy? We have webinars and podcasts on demand, meaning you can listen to them whenever and wherever suits you.
3. Look outside your comfort zone
With a week of events, you have the chance to explore all your options. How about a webinar on future-proofing your degree? Or an info session on how to get back on track for your HSC (despite COVID-19). With so many options, and a whole week to explore them, there’s no reason not to.
4. Ask away!
Just like a regular Open Day, our ambassadors and admissions staff will be available to answer your questions about university life. Curious about joining a club, what living in housing is like, or just keen to hear about different courses? Our ambassadors will be online every day to help you out.
5. Get your parents involved
Open Week isn’t only for you – it’s for your parents too! Be sure to let them know they can get involved also. There’s a podcast about all the things they need to know about uni, and if you’re interested in the Creative Intelligence & Innovation degrees, there’s a webinar and live Q&A especially dedicated to parents.
6. Explore your postgraduate options
If you’re interested in studying further and changing or progressing your career, Open Week is the perfect chance to explore UTS’s postgraduate offerings. There are webinars, info sessions and live chat options. And if you can’t make the live sessions, there’s loads of on demand material for you to access when it suits your busy schedule.
