Elite Athletes and Performers Special Admissions scheme is for undergraduate applicants who are elite athletes and/or performers and whose sport or performance commitments have impacted on their studies.
Who can apply?
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate that their commitments as an elite athlete or performer have had an impact on their educational performance. Applicants need to apply through UAC for the course they wish to study, then submit an application for the special admission scheme directly to UTS.

You are considered to be an elite athlete if you have officially represented your school or state at national level competition during Years 11 and/or 12, or during other studies relevant to your application and your selection to the relevant team was competitive.
You are considered to be an elite performer if you have performed in extended or significant productions in Australia or overseas during Years 11 and/or 12 or during other studies relevant to your application.
You are eligible to apply for Special Admission – Elite Athletes and Performers if:
- you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, AND
- you are an elite athlete or performer; AND
- you studied in Years 11 and/or 12 or equivalent, or your current or previous tertiary studies have been seriously affected by your performing or athletic commitments (tertiary studies include diploma, advanced diploma, degree or higher level studies, undertaken either in Australia or overseas).

Note: Once an elite athlete is offered a place at UTS, they are eligible to apply for the UTS Elite Athlete Program for additional support during their studies.
