Increase your earning potential
While salary levels are dependent on which discipline and industry you work in, the 2017 Graduate Outcome Survey tells us that the median full-time salary for UTS postgraduate coursework graduates is $86,600; and $95,000 for UTS research graduates. That’s above the national average of $80,000 for postgraduate coursework graduates, and $83,000 for PhD graduates (Graduate Careers Australia, Graduate Salaries 2015).
Fast track your career

A postgraduate course is also a great way to gain new qualifications that steer your career in a new direction.
In a highly competitive job market, you’ll need the right mix of skills and knowledge to compete in a global economy. In addition, many international organisations and companies now expect prospective candidates to have a postgraduate qualification in their field.
A postgraduate qualification can give you a great sense of achievement. It also provides you with the opportunity to network with likeminded people, which can often lead to new career prospects. Many of our students also talk about how much they enjoy learning as a postgraduate student.
