91157 Marine Communities: three day trip to Pearl Beach
91163 Alpine and Lowland Ecology: two week trip (on a three year rotation with the other 2 field trip subjects)
UTS Environmental Science students have an opportunity to learn in the field in the subject Forest and Mountain Ecology. Known as “The Great Northern” this twelve day intensive field trip to the northern NSW forests and northwestern woodlands follows a chain of hotspot volcanoes along the Great Dividing Range.
UTS Environmental Science students have an opportunity to learn in the field in the subject Stream and Lake Assessment (SALA). A three day excursion based at the UTS Stroud Field Station is a core component of this subject. Students talk about their experiences of learning in the field and the sense of community it gives.
