The study of law rarely takes place in a vacuum. Most students need to juggle study with work and family demands, and the myriad other obligations of life.
It is for this reason that UTS Law emphasises a work and study balance. We allow you to reap the most from your studies whilst still meeting the commitments of your life outside of university.
UTS Law gives you the option of flexible timetabling. Depending on your chosen course, you can:
- study your degree in either full-time or part-time mode
- choose to study core subjects in the day or evening
- balance your study load by enrolling in Summer session or block mode subjects
“I chose UTS Law because of the flexibility in how they deliver the course. When I first started to research law schools in Sydney, I was working full time and I needed the ability to study without taking time off work. UTS Law stood out as the best option in making that possible.”
Flora Wong (Juris Doctor)
Many lectures are recorded and made available online via podcast. This ensures that you can re-visit lectures online or view them for the first time if you were unable to attend in person.
“The availability of many recorded lectures online has allowed me to pick up what I may have missed.”
Haran DeLillo (Bachelor of Engineering Science/Bachelor of Laws)
UTS Law’s central location is close to many of Sydney’s city courts, tribunals and top tier law firms. We are conveniently walking distance of Central Railway Station, parking stations and the Darling Harbour and urban entertainment districts.
“UTS is situated in a great location. I have worked on a casual basis in various legal and non-legal disciplines since I started studying at UTS , [and] it is easy to get to and from campus as we are in the middle of the buzzing city, close to the train station and markets."
Afrin Ahmed (Bachelor of Arts in Communiation (Journalism)/Bachelor of Laws)
