Confirmation of Enrolment
The Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is the only accepted evidence of enrolment for processing Australian student visa applications.
A copy of your CoE must be submitted to your local Department of Home Affairs office before a student visa can be issued. If you are seeking to undertake multiple eligible UTS: INSEARCH and UTS courses, you must have CoEs for all courses.
The Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF) is now available to applicants intending to study a UTS bachelor, postgraduate course, and/or eligible INSEARCH/UTS package courses.

Important information about Simplified Student Visa Framework
UTS is an approved participant in the Australian Government’s Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF), introduced on 1 July 2016 by the Department of Home Affairs.
The SSVF is designed to make the process of applying for a student visa simpler for genuine students.
All international students now apply for a single Student visa (subclass 500) (opens an external site) regardless of their chosen course of study. A single immigration risk framework will apply to all international students and all students will be required to lodge their visa application online by creating an ImmiAccount (opens an external site) on the Department of Home Affairs website (opens an external site).
The online document checklist tool for Student visa (subclass 500) (opens an external site) advises students about the documentation they need to provide with their visa application.
Students must have sufficient funds according to the Department of Home Affairs' Student visa financial capacity requirements (opens an external site, read the Evidence you have enough money for your stay section under Step 2) available for the duration of their stay in Australia.
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements to be granted a student visa.
Applicants must also meet all other core visa criteria.
