Accepting your UAC offer
This information is for international students who have completed one of the qualifications listed below and have received an offer to study at UTS from the Universities Admission Centre (UAC).
- an Australian Year 12 Certificate;
- an International Baccalaureate Diploma; or
- a New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3;
Acceptance and enrolment information for fee paying international students
Congratulations! Your application for admission to the University of Technology Sydney was successful.
To accept this offer, please:
- Read the Statement of protocol on fees and refunds for international students studying in Australia.
- Read the UTS Release Protocol
- Complete the Acceptance Form (PDF, 79kB)
- Organise payment of the required tuition fee deposit as outlined in your Course Offer Summary. You may pay your fees using a bank draft or bank cheque, which should be drawn from a bank in Australia and made payable to the 'University of Technology Sydney'.
To avoid any delays in processing your payment by UTS, please do not use telegraphic transfer.
A Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) certificate allowing you to apply for your new student visa will be issued after receipt of the deposit.

You are required to accept your offer and make payment within 14 days of receipt of your "Offer" or by 31 January 2020, whichever is earlier.
If you decide not to enrol after accepting your offer you may incur a financial penalty. For further information please refer to the Statement of protocol on fees and refunds for international students studying in Australia and the UTS Release Protocol.
You may be able to defer commencement of your course for up to 12 months. Go to Deferring your offer for more information.
Note: not all courses have mid-year intakes and any deferment of offer will be subject to the entry requirements and the fees applicable to the requested intake.
At the time of enrolment you must hold a visa that allows you to study for the full duration of your course. Visit the Department of Home Affairs website (opens an external site) for further information.
If you currently do not hold a visa that allows you to study for the full duration of your course, you must apply for a higher education sector visa (subclass 500) before starting at UTS.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
The Australian Government requires international students to maintain a valid health insurance, or Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), for the duration of their student visa. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your OSHC for the duration of your student visa.
Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
Once UTS International receives your acceptance form and deposit, a copy of your CoE certificate will be sent to the email address provided on the acceptance form.
Orientation and enrolment
You will receive information regarding Orientation and Enrolment after you have accepted your offer.
The Orientation and Session Start period for Autumn 2020 Session will run from Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2020 for Calendar B courses, and from Monday 17 February to Friday 6 March 2020 for Main Calendar courses.
