We offer two six-month industry placements as part of the Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice. These internships give you hands-on experience and provide you with the opportunity to work alongside professional engineers as a trainee engineer, develop your skills and build upon applied knowledge.

Domestic and international students
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice provides you with the in-depth preparation you need to enter the world of engineering. You'll learn core and specialist engineering skills to solve complex human problems, how to engage with stakeholders, manage projects and work with emerging technologies.
Choose from 13 engineering majors and complete two six-month internships via the Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice.
The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) is a comprehensive preparation for careers in the professional practice of engineering. Students learn to deal with complex systems and manage large-scale projects using the most appropriate emerging technologies. The Diploma in Professional Engineering Practice is not a requirement for international students.
The Bachelor of Engineering Science is a three-year, technologist-level qualification, and does not qualify graduates as professional engineers.
Combined courses give graduates the advantage to be competitive in a rapidly changing workplace, both in Australia and overseas. You’ll be trained in two disciplines, broadening your career opportunities and increasing your chances of getting a job in both disciplines.
