Your career as a professional photographer
Keep pace with the rapidly evolving photography profession.
UTS Photography graduates are fluent in creating studio-based images across a range of areas including product and fashion photography, news and documentary, portraiture and the body, as well as architecture and landscape photography.
UTS’s Bachelor of Design in Photography has a strong emphasis on professional practice, with students having the opportunity to undertake a 40-hour internship during their degree, working with major organisations such as the Sydney Biennale and participating in exhibitions. These collaborations with the photographic industry allow students to develop their entrepreneurial skills to carve out their own niche in the industry.
There are a lot of things I like about studying Photography at UTS. It’s in a central location, which makes travelling to classes really easy. The facilities available to students are great, and we can book in to commercial studios, darkrooms and a digital image lab.
