Co-founded by Shanghai University (SHU) and University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 1994, SHU-UTS SILC Business School (SILC) was one of the earliest Sino-foreign joint business schools in China.
Recommended by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission as the first experimental unit for accreditation of Sino-foreign joint education, the School became the first Sino-foreign education institute accredited by National Education Assessment Agency in 2006.
The School was named one of the top ten best Sino-foreign joint education institutes by China Education and Research Network in 2009.
The School had been named one of the top ten most influential Sino-foreign joint education institutes by Sina and Xinhuanet for five consecutive years since 2010.
The School became a member of AACSB in 2013. The Eligibility Application was accepted by AACSB in 2014.
The School received public commendation from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission for Sino-foreign joint education institutes (programs) in 2016.
