Establishment of Climate KIC Australia: assessing impact through the co-evolution of innovation, strategy and social networks
UTS Business School in collaboration with UTS-Institute for Sustainable Futures invites applications for a PhD scholar to undertake research at the intersection of innovation, business strategy and social networks and study the establishment of Climate KIC Australia.
Climate-KIC Australia is a Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC) to catalyse a national response to climate change and the global-scale opportunities it presents. Climate KIC’s purpose is to help bring to market innovative climate change solutions by connecting key players across the whole innovation pathway that includes the research community, government and business via a model developed in the European Union.
Working in partnership with Climate KIC Australia, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to undertake trans-disciplinary research into organizational development, network evolution, innovation and business strategy to better understand the impact and outcomes of a knowledge-innovation community in a real world context.
The project will be jointly supervised by Dr Jochen Schweitzer UTS-Business and Dr Rebecca Cunningham UTS-ISF with input from a range of UTS academics, government policy makers and business leaders involved in Climate KIC Australia.
The scholarship is available for three years.
Interested candidates please complete an EOI and note in your application that you are applying for the Climate KIC Australia scholarship.
