The recipient will receive a domestic Commonwealth Research Training Program scholarship (RTP Stipend) at the 2021 indexed RTP rate of $28,597 pa.

• $37,000 per year (RTP Stipend rate, indexed annually); additional funds ($8,000) during the course of the PhD for travel and other PhD-related expenses.
• Candidates will have access to a UTS laptop for the candidature duration.

Tuition fee depends on each course - Up to 3.5 years

CSC will provide a living allowance as prescribed by the PRC Government, Australian student visa application fees, mandatory student health insurance for the term of the visa, and return international airfare to Australia. Applicants are advised to apply to CSC for four years (48 months) of living allowance in order to ensure they have funding for the full duration of their HDR tuition fees offset scholarship at UTS.

The Vietnamese Government will provide for onshore study:

• a tuition fee scholarship of up to $25,000 USD per year (2023 rate)
• a stipend scholarship of $1,120 USD per month (2023 rate)
• an international return airfare and travel allowances
• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the time spent in Australia (up to $1,000 USD per year)

In addition, UTS faculties may agree to provide:

• top up funding to support the full tuition fee (supplement the Project 89 funding), being the difference between the scholarship jointly-funded between UTS and the Vietnamese Government (Project 89)
• a supplementary (top up) living allowance up to the current UTS base stipend scholarship rate. In 2023, this will be A$32,500 per annum pro rata

Up to ten (10) recipients  will receive a discount of fifty percent (50%) on their respective Scape Rental Accommodation Fees for the duration of the scholarship.
