R U OK Day
ActivateUTS is proud to support our national day of action – R U OK? Day on Thursday 10 September.
One of our objectives at ActivateUTS is to enable students to feel a sense of belonging and to empower them to create meaningful connections that enrich their student experience at UTS.
This is a day dedicated to reminding everyone to ask “Are you OK?” and to remember every day of the year to support people who may be struggling with life’s up and downs.
As part of our commitment to encourage these conversations and provide a platform for students to meet, converse and make meaningful connections, ActivateUTS and our wellbeing partners, batyr will be at the Student Learning Hub on level 4 at UTS Central between 11am-3pm on Thursday, 10 September to raise awareness about mental health.
We'll be providing supporting resources that could help you, or someone you know who may be struggling with life. There's also some goodie bags to giveaway so drop us a visit on Thursday!
2020 has been a challenging year for many and circumstances have made it even more important for us all as a community to stay connected, and for those who are able to, support those around us.
Can't make it to the event?
This year’s message for R U OK?Day is ‘There’s more to say after R U OK?. For those who can’t join us, we’re holding a virtual Feast of Strangers Event – R U OK?Day Edition. Spaces are limited so register your spot below.
