Logging Volunteer Hours
Now that you know how to land your perfect volunteer opportunity, let’s talk about how to log your volunteer hours.
The volunteer hours form (in CareerHub) is used to log your hours for credit towards UTS SOUL Award. It is a requirement of the program that you regularly log your volunteer activity. Please ensure that the volunteer hours you submit for the SOUL Award are with a non-profit organisation with a social mission.
We recommend you log your hours straight after each volunteering session, or you can log your hours weekly, or even monthly if it’s a regular volunteering gig.
Every time you log hours you will receive an email with a record of your submission to help you to keep track of your volunteer hours.
Remember, to receive UTS SOUL Badge you need to complete 35 hours and to receive the UTS SOUL Award, you need to complete 90 hours over the course of your degree.
Still have questions that haven't been answered? Head over to our FAQ page for more information.
Remember, to be eligible to complete the SOUL Award you need to log your hours and attend all four Skill Up workshops before 30 May in Autumn session or 30 October in Spring session.
