The UTS Insurance Policy covers you for the entire length of the overseas program and an additional three days before and after your program dates. If you are undertaking additional travel outside of this period you are responsible to obtain private travel insurance. This is essential as overseas medical costs are very expensive!
The following documents are provided for your immediate attention. You must understand your responsibilities whilst travelling overseas on a UTS supported program.
- Certificate of Currency (PDF, 234kB)
- UTS Travel Insurance Guide (PDF,452kB)
- UTS Travel Insurance Online Claim Process (PDF, 373kB)
- Private Leisure Extension Procedure (PDF, 178kB)
It is a requirement of the UTS Insurance Policy to email firstname.lastname@example.org prior to departing overseas of any pre-existing medical or mental-health conditions. Failure to do so may result in your claim being rejected by the insurance provider.
You must have access to electronic copies of the above documents along with your UTS Insurance Certificate whilst overseas. It is advisable to provide copies of these documents to your emergency contact person in Australia.
Your individual UTS Insurance Certificate Letter will be emailed to your UTS student email. You are responsible to ensure all personal details are correct. Please contact Global Short Programs team if there are any discrepancies.
