UTS Application Process
The application process for exchange commences one academic year in advance of the exchange commencing. For example, if you wish to apply for exchange commencing in Autumn Session 2021, you will need to apply in Autumn Session 2020.
- Attend a compulsory Global Exchange Information Session or complete the online Information Session on UTS Online
- Attend a Study Plan Workshop to confirm the UTS subjects you can use for Global Exchange.
- Complete your online application form (you will be able to access the link on UTSOnline after completing the Global Exchange Information Session).
- Receive your application outcome email advising whether your application has been successful and informing you of the partner university that will host you.
- Accept or decline your offer by the date specified in the application outcome email.
- Submit your Study Plan Assessment Form to the Student Centre for approval.
Note: Applications are ranked by WAM. We allocate in 3 rounds; 1. NCP scholars, 2. students in hard to place degrees (Law; Architecture; Fashion; Sport & Exercise; Visual Comm; Integrated Product Design; Interior Architecture) and 3. a general round.
If two applicants for the same university have an equal WAM, your personal statement will be assessed to help determine your suitability for the destination.
