The International Business and Entrepreneurship Internships are offered in partnership with International Internships, a specialist internship company based in Jakarta from 10 January - 24 February 2018.
The program provides an opportunity to gain subject credit by undertaking a 6-week comprehensive internship in Jakarta, Indonesia - one of the fastest growing capital cities in Southeast Asia. This program will not only provide you with valuable international work experience but will also give you the chance to build the foundations of an exciting and dynamic career in Asia.
Students can complete an internship from two streams.
Entrepreneurship Stream students will work in start-ups that are taking their businesses to the next level. Outside of work hours, you will attend seminars and workshops aimed at giving you an understanding of the business, and specifically the start-up environment in Indonesia and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). You will learn a wide range of practical and critical-thinking skills needed to conceive and run a start-up business.
General Business Stream
Students in the general Business Stream will intern at established companies, including multinationals, foreign-owned and Indonesian companies. You will refine the skills learnt in your Bachelor of Management/Business major and discover how they can be applied in a real-world setting.
Outside of work hours, all students will have the opportunity to attend networking events, talks by prominent members of the Indonesian and expatriate community, government representatives and/or leading international figures. You will also have access to language classes, weekend trips and social events to help immerse yourself into Indonesia’s most international city.
Interested students can attend an Information Session run by Frida Komesaroff, Program Manager for International Internships’ Indonesia Programs.
