Before you apply for a practical experience placement, you should read the rules. Please note there are three sets of rules for students enrolled in the subject Practical Experience (75411) and you will need to select the rules that pertian to your enrolment situation. How to apply
To apply for any retrospective and/or intended PE approval download and complete Form 1 - Application for Practical Experience Placement Approval.
Ensure any intended supervisor receives a copy of the letter 'Introduction for practitioner supervisors'. Once again, please download the intoduction letter for the session you are enrolled in the subject Practical Experience (75411):
You cannot seek approval prior to enrolling in your practical legal training (PLT) course.
Ensure that you and your supervisor have signed where required. You should provide the Form 1 and a copy of the Practical Experience Rules to your supervisor.
You must provide a completed original, hard copy of Form 1 to the Faculty via the Law Reception desk or by mail to:

Faxed or emailed forms will not be accepted.
Applications must be received at the Faculty by close of business on the Wednesday preceding the Practical Experience Committee (PEC) meeting date. Upcoming meeting dates for the PEC are:
* Last meeting to finalise completion of Practical Experience and process result in time for AUT20 graduation is the 11/02/2020. Submissions are due by the 05/02/2020.
** Last meeting to finalise completion of Practical Experience and process result in time for SPR20 graduation is the 21/07/2020. Submissions are due by the 15/07/2019.
*** Last meeting to finalise completion of Practical Experience for the January 2021 LPAB application deadline. Note: Due to the Christmas period, Dean’s Certificates and Academic Transcripts may be available for collection until the week of the January 2021 LPAB deadline.
