The Transition and Academic Support Program is available to students who entered UTS via the Schools’ Recommendation Scheme (SRS), UTS Humanitarian Access or as a care-leaver (for example, foster care, residential care, kinship care, being a ward of the state). At UTS, we offer a range of support services for students to help them in their first year of study.
How can we help?
You have access to a wide range of support services at UTS. In both Autumn and Spring sessions, you have the opportunity to meet with a Student Services staff member for 30 minutes during weeks 1-2. The appointment is an opportunity to check in, ask questions and address any concerns you may have.
The staff member can put you in touch with other services like Financial Assistance, Counselling, the Accessibility Service, or language and presentation support. You can also book a review appointment in weeks 4-5 of the session.
Throughout your first year at UTS, you can also opt-in for subsidised tutoring and mentoring. If you opt in, you will be matched with an experienced UTS student who has done well in your enrolled subject(s) for up to 10 hours of tutoring per subject.
Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information on eligibility and sign up.
