UTS ID cards are issued to current staff, students and contractors, and to eligible UTS Library community members who wish to use and borrow items from the Library.
Carrying your UTS ID card with you at all times is important as it provides:
- access to where you need to go, and
- security by enabling you to prove who you are.
The way UTS ID cards are issued and used is different for staff, students, contractors and UTS Library community members. The following information will help you find out more about UTS ID cards and how their terms and conditions apply to you.
Find out about your UTS student ID card and how to get a new or replacement card by visiting our Student ID card page.
Staff and contractors
UTS staff can find out everything there is to know about the new staff ID cards on Staff Connect (access restricted to UTS staff). If your staff ID card doesn't allow you to access an area you need to access, let your immediate supervisor know.
Remember, staff can only collect their card from the Building 10 Student Centre.
Contractors will be issued an ID card by UTS Security. Access to your work area will only be granted after you have agreed to the card's terms and conditions (during the induction process). Contact Security on +61 2 9514 1192 for further information.
Library community members
ID cards for UTS Library community members will be rolled out in late 2014. See membership for information on community membership of UTS Library.
In an emergency, dial 6 on internal phones, or freecall 1800 249 559 for Security.
