18th UTS Ethics in Finance Panel Discussion
Sydney financial professionals will meet at UTS to discuss the CFA Institute Standards of Professional Conduct and ethics in finance.

Cassandra Crowe, CFA Allianz Retirement (Head of Consultant Relationships)
Cassandra is Head of Consultant Relationships at Allianz Retirement, a business venture between Allianz and PIMCO. Cassandra has more than 15 years of experience in finance working with a range of clients across Australia, Europe and the UK. Prior to joining Allianz, Cassandra spent 4 years at NAB Asset Management as Investment Specialist and Research Manager. Prior to NAB, Cassandra worked for Dimensional Fund Advisors and held analytical roles with research firm Lonsec Limited. Cassandra has an Economics degree from the University of Tasmania, is a Fellow of FINSIA and a CFA charter holder. Since 2016, Cassandra is a Director and board member of the CFA Society of Sydney.
Rebecca Stanley, CFA Protiviti Australia (Senior Manager)
Originally a maths graduate, Rebecca started her career in external audit for KPMG in London where she worked with major investment banking clients. She then moved into Financial Risk Management consulting within KPMG. Subsequent engagements included LIBOR (and other rates) - rigging investigations, product valuations, as well as risk and control reviews. Moving within KPMG to Australia almost two years ago, Rebecca worked on a variety of FS clients with a very wide scope of work. About six months ago, she joined consulting firm Protiviti to help build the firm’s Financial Services offering. Rebecca is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Institute.
James Halse, CFA Platinum Asset Management (Portfolio Manager)
James is a portfolio manager at Platinum Asset Management focusing on global equities, incl. global consumer and retail sectors. Prior to working at Platinum, James was an analyst with fund manager CP2 - first in global infrastructure, then Australian equities. James holds a BA/LLB (Hons) and a Master of Laws in Commercial Law (First Class Honours) from The University of Auckland. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Sydney.
Tim Riordan, CFA First State Super (Portfolio Manager)
Tim is Portfolio Manager – Direct Equities at First State Super. He is responsible for strategy setting, implementation and portfolio management of First State Super’s internally managed Australian concentrated fundamental equities strategy. Tim has over 15 years of experience in financial services across funds management and accounting. Tim holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University.
