The Economics Department at UTS is please to welcome our new Academics:
Lecturer: Dr. Esther Mirjam Girsberger
Esther received her PhD in Economics from The European University Institute, Florence, Italy. Esther is post-doctoral research fellow and part-time lecturer at the University of Lausanne (NCCR Lives and Department of Economics). Esther is also a research affiliate at the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA).
Esther's research interest are Development Economics, Labour Economics, Public Economics, Structural and Applied Econometrics. Esther commences in August.
Lecturer: Mengheng Li
Mengheng will get his PhD this year from the Tinbergen Institute, the Netherlands, one of the leading research institutes in Europe. Mengheng also worked as a Research Analyst at the Department of Econometrics and Models, in the Dutch National Bank.
Mengheng's research interests are Business Analytics, Empirical Macroeconomics and Financial Econometrics. Mengheng commences in July.
Lecturer: Dr. Piotr Evdokimov
Piotr received his PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota (USA) in 2014. He has 4 years’ experience as an Assistant Professor at ITAM (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México)
Piotr's research interests are Experimental Economics and Microeconomics. Piotr commences in August.
New Postdoctoral Fellow: Benjamin Young
Ben will receive his PhD in Economics from Princeton University in June 2018. Ben will be supervised by Prof. Isa Hafalir. Ben will take over teaching of Dr. Antonio Rosato who has received the ARC DECRA award for 2018-2020
Ben Research Interests are Behavioral Economics and Microeconomic Theory . Ben commences in July.
