UTS Beta Alpha Psi – Upsilon Tau Sigma Chapter
Beta Alpha Psi is an internationally recognized honour organization for high achieving accounting, finance and business information systems students and professionals. UTS Beta Alpha Psi is the premier student-led leadership program in the UTS Business School. With over 300 chapters worldwide, UTS Beta Alpha Psi is one of a select few chapters ranked “superior” internationally.
The primary aims of UTS Beta Alpha Psi are to (1) develop members into ethical, professional and confident business leaders of the future and (2) contribute to the wider community. Consistent with these aims, UTS Beta Alpha Psi runs a number of workshops events throughout the year together with industry professionals, other universities, and not-for-profit organisations.
Professional - Professional events largely focus on self-development and networking with top-tier professional services firms. Professional events include Development Day with JA Australia, ‘Meet your Boss on the Greens’ with EY, CAANZ, BDO, KordaMentha, NSW Audit office and Lendlease, Life of a Consultant, Business Etiquette with CAANZ, Deloitte Mock Assessment, Industry Insights with Fintech, Commonwealth Bank CommSec Evening.
Service - Service events are centered around volunteering activities which contribute to the well-being of the community. Service events include, cleaning up The Goods Line as part of Clean Up Australia Day, volunteering at the Women’s Day Breakfast, mentoring high school students (U@Uni), mentoring indigenous high school students, promoting and fundraising for R U OK Day and sewing boomerang bags from recycled material.
