Jarnae Leslie (PhD) Plastic Waste in Complex City Ecosystems
Jarnae is passionate about sustainability, systems thinking, systems analysis, human interaction and language. Her current work is researching and mapping the City Waste Ecosystem in the City of Sydney district region assessing stakeholders, relationships and physical flows of plastic-based waste. This project assesses the factors towards reaching the city’s 2030 Zero Waste goal and the role of Boundary Objects in the system. Jarnae has a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney and brings together graphic representation tools and complex system modelling in this community-lead action research project.
