Conservation biology and wildlife health
My research focuses on the impacts of invasive exotic plants on Australian native ectotherms (reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates). In particular how changes to habitat as a result of exotic plant invasions alter the abundance and composition of ectotherm communities. These include changes to habitat structure and heterogeneity, thermal conditions and food availability. I am also interested in the use of street plantings in urban areas to mitigate urban heat island effects.
