2017 International Compassionate Conservation Conference
Themed symposia covering a range of disciplines, exciting field trips, and a series of tailored workshops bring together experts in science, law, ethics, and environmental humanities.
Great progress has been made in defining the discipline of compassionate conservation in the seven years since the first conference at the University of Oxford in 2010. Following the successful 2nd International Conference at the University of British Columbia in 2015, key areas of research strength and discourse have continued to emerge and flourish. Aggregated into six priority themes, the 3rd International conference provides an exciting opportunity to hear progress from international experts from around the world as the horizons for compassionate conservation expand.
Hosted by the Centre for Compassionate Conservation at the University of Technology Sydney, the conference will involve themed symposia covering a range of disciplines, exciting field trips, and a series of tailored workshops. It will bring together experts in science, law, ethics, and environmental humanities.
