UTS Chinese Medicine, via the School of Life Sciences has a number of close collaborative links with industry and the community.
The UTS Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine program is accredited by the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia. UTS Chinese medicine also maintains close links with all the major professional associations including the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA), the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Society of Australia (CMASA), the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), and others. Currently UTS has a relationship with Concord Hospital whereby the Chinese medicine Year 4 interns undertake clinical placements in the Hospital’s Oncology Clinic.
UTS Chinese Medicine has a number of memorandums of understanding with international institutions including the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. In South Korea, Dong Eui University in Busan and the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM) in Daejeon are also signatures to memorandums of understanding with UTS. Staff members are also actively involved in collaboration with Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (China), Tsukuba University of Technology (Japan) and Standards Australia.
UTS Chinese Medicine also has good relationships with local and international industry, which include Helio Supply Company, Healthworld Pty Ltd, Tong De Tang Australia Pty Ltd, Tong Ren Tang and Kaiser Pharmaceutical Company (Taiwan).
