Our students enter into supervised intern practice in their 4th and final year of study in the Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine program. The intern clinic is operated under the supervision of UTS staff who are qualified TCM practitioners and also registered healthcare practitioners (AHPRA: CMBA). Interns are required to complete 750 hours of contact clinical hours, including 300 individual treatments.
Their training consists of a combination of both Western biomedical health studies and Chinese medicine specialisations, with the aim to produce healthcare professionals who are responsible, competent, safe and knowledgeable in their practice of Chinese medicine.
