Year 4 intern clinic
Our students enter into supervised intern practice in their 4th and final year of study in the Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine program. The intern clinic is operated under the supervision of UTS staff who are qualified TCM practitioners and also registered healthcare practitioners (AHPRA: CMBA). Interns are required to complete 750 hours of contact clinical hours, including 300 individual treatments.
Their training consists of a combination of both Western biomedical health studies and Chinese medicine specialisations, with the aim to produce healthcare professionals who are responsible, competent, safe and knowledgeable in their practice of Chinese medicine.

Each intern is trained in the general practice of Chinese medicine but has the opportunity to select areas of special interest which form the focus of their fourth year studies.

I have been working as a remedial and soft tissue therapist since 2012 (registered with AMT). My interests are supporting a client’s quality of life from mental and physical difficulties, such as from chronic and acute pain. I am looking forward to working with you!

I have a keen interest in helping my friends and family to recover from illness, and I have been helping them through the knowledge learned from studying in UTS Chinese Medicine degree. My focus is in using acupuncture and herbal medicine to help patient to relieve pain including neck pain, shoulder pain and knee pain and the prevention of recurrence.
I am passionate about providing treatments in holistic ways. Traditional Chinese Medicine considers physical health, mental health, and lifestyle factors to diagnose and treat illness. My special area of interests are gynaecology, cosmetic acupuncture and pain management.
I prided on taking the time to provide comprehensive and complete information to patients and their families. I am interested in cosmetic acupuncture, pain management, gynaecology as well as oncology. I would like apply advanced tongue diagnosis skills into my practice.

2 years of pulse diagnosis training with my master, and participation in consultation and treatment with over 20,000 patients in China; 1.5 years of remedial massage, paediatric massage and weight loss program training at a comprehensive medical centre in Sydney; Ongoing training of Japanese acupuncture, tongue diagnosis and electroacupuncture. My area of interest: Insomnia, Musculoskeletal Pain, Digestive Problem, Dysmenorrhoea, and Fatigue.
My interest of Food is Medicine was developed over 15 years as chef. I am now dedicated to Chinese medicine healing modalities, especially those techniques which have proven evidence based benefit for the mature and older patients, such as acupuncture, gua sha and gentle cupping. Those with neck and shoulder pain will especially benefit from my kind and comprehensive care.

Gaining a lot knowledge and experience from UTS and previous study, which gives me special interest and experience in treating acute and chronic pain, gynaecology, digestive problem, insomnia and other health issues. Ka Fai Vincent Ng
I am interested in helping people with knee, shoulder, neck and general pain problems. I have witnessed most of my friends and family members who have suffered from pain and reduced mobility. I understand the suffering and wish to help people of similar condition to restore health and mobility. I am also interested in helping people with chronic diseases such as diabetes, frequent urination, cold hands and feet, and age related health issues. I will be patient to listen to your problem and discuss with you on ways for health preservation and disease prevention.
I have a keen interest in fine tuning my diagnostic skills to help provide the best acupuncture and/or herbal medicine treatment for the individual person and case. The most appealing, and challenging, aspect of TCM is that there is no one solution to a problem. I hope to be able to apply this to treating general disorders in an empathetic and skillful manner.
I have been working for Qin Huai Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in Nanjing, China for 5 years as an environment & health researcher, and 3 year learning and training of Traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine. During the investigation and training of the day to day clinical practices, I am very confident and experienced in treating diseases applying both TCM diagnostic principles and Western medical reports, especially in the internal medical areas like Gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, gynaecology and related pain management.
I have more than 10 years of massage experience. I am so interested in TCM because I want to find some other ways to help patients to solve their health problems. My interested in areas are fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, and insomnia.
I am passionate about providing acupuncture and herbal treatment in the traditional Chinese classical way. Also, I am good at TCM consultation and diagnosis, which can offer the whole picture of your health. My special area of interests are pain management and insomnia.
I have been involved in healthcare industry in Australia for 6 years and now I am doing some research on how to manage abdominal problems with Chinese medicine, including digestive system like IBS, autoimmune bowel diseases etc. and urinary/reproductive system issues like gynaecological/andrological problems, basically any problems related to abdominal region. I am also interested in musculoskeletal pain management and neurology issues like sequelae of stroke, etc.
Xiao Yan Guan
I have a special interest in rapidly relieving pain via acupuncture through the traditional Chinese Medicine Way. I am also interested in treating other body disorders through the combination of Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture too.
I have eight years experience in remedial massage therapy. I am also very interested in TCM herbal and acupuncture. My main field is to manage the pain as in emotion and physical. I believe by combining massage with TCM would make better treatment outcome in pain management.
I believe Traditional Chinese Medicine is a great approach to cope with physical and mental health. I like to use different techniques and herbal medicine to achieve relief from emotional stress, acute and chronic pain management, women general wellbeing, migraine, headache and insomnia.
Having experienced a range of hormonal imbalances of my own in the past, my interests lie in the treatment of hormonal disorders including infertility, thyroid conditions and regulating women's menstrual cycles though Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.
Coming from a compassionate family, I am interested in assisting others, particularly with neurological diseases such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease or other challenging situations. Challenging situations such as troublesome cases enable me to devise treatment methods to effect relief or a cure for the patient.

Ross’s focus of study is Classical Acupuncture which focuses on identifying the root of illness as well as treating the presenting signs and symptoms. So whether the problem is pain, emotional, digestion or general wellbeing, this classical approach allows the body to regain perfect balance and harmony.
15 Years of corporate experience exposed me to various stress-related muscular discomforts including back pain, tight neck, frozen shoulders, and migraine headaches, which often resulted in sleep disturbances. Helping my patients recover from those issues and return them to their peak performance in this adrenaline-rush society is the focus of my research.
My purpose is helping balance and promoting your wellbeing using combined Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments. Working as a Remedial massage therapist, a lot of people present with neck and shoulder pain , often combined with stress related symptoms like headaches. My interest is to address these neck , shoulder and pain imbalances using combined Acupuncture and Chinese massage therapy known as Tuina.
I believe in fundamental principles of Chinese Medicine. As such I believe that it is my role as a practitioner to guide patients to a state of balance using the techniques I have learned over the years. My hope is that I can continue to help people with all sorts of problems, with a focus on pain management and insomnia.
