In July 2018 UTS Faculty of Law offered its first International Winter School, an intensive two-week program designed for foreign nationals who would like to explore legal topics in the Australian and international context whilst enjoying the beautiful city of Sydney, Australia. The program consisted of interactive seminars and lectures across a range of Common Law areas, as well as field trips to the Supreme, District and Local courts to experience the law in action.

Academic activities were held at UTS City Campus, which is located at the southern end of Sydney's CBD and serviced by multiple public transport options.
The Winter School is primarily designed for current international university students with an interest in studying Law. This program is delivered entirely in English, so a sound proficiency in English is essential. The Winter School invites a range of participants from different cultural and academic backgrounds, and Sydney's CBD and inner-city suburbs provide an equally diverse range of accommodation options: choose from local backpacker hostels, hotels, boutique B&Bs or stay with locals through Airbnb.
