Copyright and Cartography – Website Launch
You are invited to celebrate the launch of the Copyright and Cartography website. The website curates a number of key copyright cases between mapmakers in London in the 18th century and Australia in the 19th century, presenting them alongside the maps that sparked the litigation, as well as mapping the mapmakers themselves.
The research project is led by Isabella Alexander (UTS Faculty of Law) and was funded by an NSLA Fellowship from the State Library of NSW and an ARC Discovery Grant, and entitled Copyright and Cartography: Understanding the Past, Shaping the Future.
There is no charge for this event.
