New UTS Chancellor's Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ARCCIM
Dr Romy Lauche has been appointed as a 2015 UTS Chancellors Postdoctoral Research Fellow, working with the Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM) in the Faculty of Health under the direct supervision of Professor Jon Adams.
Dr Lauche joins UTS from the Department of Internal and Integrative Medicine at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. She has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications to date and brings a wealth of methodological expertise and research experience to the world-leading public health and health services research program at ARCCIM and UTS.
Dr Lauche has extensive expertise in conducting multidisciplinary, translational research, including work around systematic reviews, analyses of large cohort study datasets and clinical trial design.
She will be focusing upon key aspects of the use of complementary medicine amongst older Australians with depression including examining their decision-making, information-seeking and communication with a range of health care providers about this significant but often overlooked area of health services research. We are excited at the appointment of such a talented and productive early-career researcher and very much look forward to working with Dr Lauche to further grow and advance health research excellence at UTS.
Welcome Dr Lauche!
