Inaugural Head of School of Nursing and Midwifery announced
Professor Tracy Levett-Jones has been appointed as the inaugural Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Professor Tracy Levett-Jones has been appointed as the Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She has been integral to the development of the School’s organisational framework and governance structure.
Since 2017, Professor Levett-Jones has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to UTS as the inaugural Professor of Nursing Education.
Recognised as one of the top nursing education researchers in Australia, Professor Levett-Jones was recently named by The Australian's 2019 Research magazine as the top researcher in Health & Medical Sciences in the field of Nursing [opens external link]. She is renowned for her commitment to the improvement of teaching and learning for health care students, and has been the recipient of many teaching awards including an Australian Learning and Teaching Council Award for Teaching Excellence, a NSW Minister for Education and Training Quality Teaching Award, and a Pearson/Australian Nurse Teacher Society Nurse Educator of the Year Award.
