Engineers without Borders
Engineers Without Borders is a member-based not-for-profit organisation that works in partnership with developing communities both within Australia and overseas, creating systemic change through humanitarian engineering. Their vision is for everyone to have access to the engineering knowledge and resources required to lead a life of opportunity, free from poverty. Many UTS Engineering students are involved with the program.
UTS Motorsports brings together a team of around 15 UTS students from the various disciplines of engineering as well as other faculties. Every year, the professional race team conceive, design and fabricate a small formula-style racing car to ultimately compete against students from other universities in the Australasian event of the Formula SAE international design competition. Since its inception in 1999, the team has competed 12 times. The Faculty is proud to support UTS Motorsports by providing technical advice, workshop space and funding.
