Ramanpreet completed a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab technical university, India in 2014. He served as a mechanical engineer in the DMW engine manufacturing plant for Indian railways and was Quality Engineer in the Mahindra automobiles corporation. He studied Masters in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Technology Sydney in 2016. He also has a Certificate 2 in safety and security operations. He works as a production supervisor for US firm Costco. He is a Member of the Engineering Australia Society and AUTOEXPO (Advanced automobiles manufacturing).
Risk based land use planning in bushfire prone areas using GIS and Remote sensing technology for risk assessment of bushfires and how to control them effectively using various risk assessment tools.
He has undertaken a research project on risk assessment for explosions in petroleum industries and how to minimize the probability of these events through designing a mechanism using various risk assessment tools and calculating the probability of such events to occur after implementing the designed risk assessment mechanism.
Another research project is about energy conversion on the vertical wind turbine on the UTS Tower Building 1. His interest was to increase the efficiency of the wind turbine by designing new blades to achieve best air velocity at best optimum blade angle.
He has conducted further research calculating the braking efficiency of Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) under varying conditions of friction. Data plots were generated for friction and braking distance under various road conditions to determine the effectiveness of ABS system.
