Using Action Design Research methodology, this UTS Industry Doctoral Program (IDP) research aims to address this challenge by providing the following:
• An understanding of what digital transformation means to financial government agencies
• Benchmark the agency’s maturity in digital transformation capabilities compared to other similar agencies in the world
• A framework to adjust and align the agency’s organisational capabilities to manage emerging opportunities and risks in the digital era e.g. drive transformation in the financial industry
• Train the IDP candidate to have the opportunity to work closely with different areas at the agency and influence the success of strategies that drive the ongoing transformation.
IDP PhD research provides the candidate to stay employed and engaged in his current workplace (the agency), and gain a deep knowledge of the trends in digital transformation that can be transferred to policy, business, and operational areas of the agency to help them succeed.
