Fatuma is an academic in the field of Information Systems. She is a member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). She has taught numerous IS/IT related subjects. Her research interests include User Innovation, Service Co-creation, Social Media Appropriation, Online Social Networks and Knowledge sharing.
Fatuma received her Bachelor’s degree in Office and Information Management from Makerere University, Uganda. She received a Master’s Degree in Information Technology (MIT) from Makerere University. She is a PhD Student (Information Systems) at UTS working under the supervision of Dr. Kyeong Kang and Prof. Ghassan Beydoun.
She won the International Research Scholarship (IRS) and UTS Presidents’ Scholarship to pursue her PhD studies at UTS. She is working on a research project that explores social media structure and service co-creation processes. She has presented her research at conferences such as the Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS).
