UTS Communication rises into ShanghaiRanking's Top 100
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2018 has been released today by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy.
With more than 4000 universities ranked, UTS Communication climbed into the Global Top 100 (76-100) in this year’s ranking and is equal 4th in Australia.
ShanghaiRanking has been publishing Academic Rankings of World Universities (ARWU) by subjects since 2009.
Needing to have met a minimum number of research publications during the years 2012-2016 to be considered, the rankings measure research productivity, quality, the extent of international collaboration and the number of the highest academic recognition.
Over the last few years the School of Communication has been focused on producing world-class research and working closely with our new international partners. These results are a great endorsement of the dedicated and inspiring researchers across the School

Head of the School of Communication
While Communication joins the Top 100, UTS Education upholds its place within the top 150.
More than 1600 universities from 83 countries and regions are published in this year’s release.
