One of six fellowships granted by the State Library of NSW, Elizabeth has received $20,000 for her project 'Pressed and strained: the lives of metal workers in the era of globalisation (1970-1990)'.

Most recently, coinciding with Social Sciences Week, Elizabeth set on a field trip to Narrabri in rural NSW with Associate Professor James Goodman and students of the Professional Pathways Project subject.
It is incredibly exciting for students and staff when we can design authentic assessments that test students’ scholarly skills and at the same time prepare them for the sorts of tasks they will encounter after graduation in their new careers – Dr Elizabeth Humphrys
Elizabeth with James has been refining the content for the final-year experience which enables students to undertake a social research project in a practical setting.
