The Revue Society is a student-run performing arts collective dedicated to writing, staging and performing a one-off, original variety performance each year.
The UTS Revue Society takes pride in making your mother uncomfortable. Established in 1878, the society has been an important part of UTS culture since before UTS actually existed. As the name suggests, we’re here to ensure that the UTS community has its recommended dose of chuckles each year in the form of the UTS Revue; a university-centric-sketch-comedy-song-and-dance-extravaganza. In addition, we love giving students as many chances to get involved and express themselves as possible – open mic nights, sketch nights, and writers’ workshops.
The show is always great fun to watch, but it’s even more fun to be part of the process. We would love to hear from anyone who is keen to unleash their inner weird on a stage for the pleasure of others. Students from any faculty are welcome to participate in any aspect of putting on the Revue each year, and you don’t have to be on stage if you don’t want to – areas of interest include: sketch writing, directing, costuming, choreography, acting, singing, dancing, video production, band, stage managing, lighting, sound design and more. We’re always open on our Facebook page (UTS Revue Society) if you would like to contact us to learn more and get involved.
